At the weekend, Wisemans Bridge Rowing Club held two successful Learn to Row days, welcoming both juniors and adults to experience coastal rowing and develop new skills on the water.
Saturday’s session focused on junior rowers, who showed fantastic enthusiasm, teamwork and determination throughout the day. Coaches, Alison, Tyenne, sparker and Tom guided participants through rowing techniques, water safety and boat handling, helping to build confidence both on and off the water.
Sunday’s session welcomed adult participants, with a brilliant turnout and a great atmosphere throughout. Everyone had the opportunity to learn the basics of sculling, work together as a crew and enjoy time on the water in excellent conditions.
A huge thank you goes to all the coaches, club members and parents who helped make the weekend such a success. It was fantastic to see so many new faces enjoying the sport, and the club looks forward to welcoming many of them back in the future.
This weekend we are taking the sculls to Fishguard to compete in an offshore race. We have both senior and junior crews attending. The trailer is having its first outing ❤️
On the 12th we have a mixed quad crew entered into the Cleddau Marathon.
Excellent training ready for the Welsh coastal championships on the 20th June which our amazing club is hosting ❤️ We have both senior and junior crews competing in the event. Be great to see you all there rowing, supporting and volunteering 😊
