This years Great River Race is almost upon us, we hope you are all looking forward to it as much as we are! Here is a reminder of some of the details and times you might need to know for the coming weekend...


Breakfast times

Race Day (Saturday 12th): 0400 - 0600


Bus times

7 buses will depart the campsite (Thames Young Mariners) boarding at 0615 and leaving promptly at 0630.

2 buses will collect from Teddington Travelodge at 0600 and continue to The Lensbury Hotel for collection at 0615.


Crane times

Friday 11th: 

South Dock (postcode for marina is SE16 7SZ), oppositeStart at Millwall - Arrive as close to 1100 as possible; high tide is at 1330 and all boats must be in the water by 1600

Ham (Friday 11th)- Crane will be in operation from 1430 to 1830


Saturday 12th:

Finish (Ham) - Crane will be in operation from approx 1400 to 1800. Please clear your boat from the Finish area as quickly as possible after crossing the line and head straight towards the crane, as directed.


Passenger boat times 

Board at Masthouse Terrace Pier (postcode E14 3QB, right beside Millwall Slipway) at 0945 to leave promptly at 1015. It will take approximately 3.5 hours and arrive at Richmond Landing Stage (postcode TW10 6TS). It is approximately a 20 minute walk upstream to the Race Finish.


And finally, don't forget to bring duct tape in case of need for your flagpole attachment (and generally everything!).
