Towing:-
I have included the cost of Tow-down Service, this is for the boats to be transported from Ham & Richmond ready for the start of the race. Boats must be launched by 6pm on Friday. We will be requiring towers to drive the boats down to London ready for this service, if you could let us know if you are willing/able/interested in this.
Last year we all chipped in to cover petrol/bridge tolls for drivers.
A Minibus has been booked for the weekend, we will be covered for up to 2 drivers who must be licenced for D1E. Poor Mark did all the driving last year, do we have any volunteers for this year?? Minibus can be collected Thursday evening ready for an early start Friday and returned Sunday evening (using their drop off service) or Monday morning.
Minibus Hire (£70 per day) £280
Fuel (Last years price) £103.05
Parking £10
Bridge Toll £12.40
With the other drivers costs all split 24 ways, last year we all paid £33.55 each (This is just to give you and idea and will not be the actual cost)
Passenger boat/Booze Cruise!!
Now for members not rowing and family or friends accompanying rowers, there is an alternative way to enjoy the Thames River Race, All Aboard...The Viscount!!
Follow the race leaving Masthouse Terrace pier at 12.00, boarding starts at 11.30, there is a licensed bar and light lunches available on-board. You will be responsible for booking this trip and travelling to from the boat yourself, more information will be available on the Great River Race website:
