Crews for Coaching 2
Apr 13th, 2016 at 8:09am

Myself and Nick still have to complete our coaching sessions and we would like to do it as soon as possible. The last ones fizzled out mainly due to bad weather and also the difficulty of getting everyone together for each session. I think we need to start again from scratch. We have to do six sessions with the last one assessed by British Rowing. The weather should be less of a problem now and it might be possible to do two or three sessions a week.
So we need preferably two crews of four although we could manage with one if necessary.
Nigel has volunteered and Rod is keen but he is away from early May. Mick is also keen but I know he is busy training for the Carten in a couple of weeks time. Is there anyone else who could help either in the evenings or possibly daytime sessions?

Yes Jim I am free. My back isnt brilliant but am guessing its not exactly ten hard ones to Tenby and back. Or is it? Am around day and night. A few things booked up but not a lot.

I'm interested as I need to get back in the boat.  I'm available Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in the day and most evenings if that helps.

That is really brilliant, thanks everybody. It looks like we might be able to have a 'day boat' and an 'evening boat', but more volunteers welcome if you can spare the time. I will have a word with Nick and try and get started next week.
I'm glad your back is improving Bunty, we will be concentrating on technique rather than fitness and power so you and Jo should be fine.
Also it is only me and Nick who will be assessed, not the rowers.

I think one boat is not going to be possible without extra hands due to lifting back on trailer and difficulty towing off beach. Judy suggested doing sessions before club nights which seems like a good idea.
Please can Nick and rowers post if you can do next Tuesday (19th April) meeting at 4.30 and having the boat(s) back on beach before 6 for club night. Other ideas welcome. I am in Porthmadog this weekend.
